A physical theatre piece where the performers from the the theatre group She She Pop respond to the video featuring their mother. The performance is set to Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring, and the work respond to the dramatic outline of the music. The video of the mothers are projected onto four panels and the gaps allow for some on-stage interactions that mostly works. The performance mainly act as a response to the video where the mothers pose, dance and do their best to embarrass. There are also sections where each recall memories of the growing up. The performers response are sometimes mischievous, loving and at times rebellious and aggressive, in an attempt to replicate and represent the relationship between a mother and child. It is interesting without being completely absorbing with some interesting use of the four strips of video projections.
