A short 7 minutes scratch piece Jenny Minton takes place in a room with 7 spotlights and as the sole audience stand in the middle of each, it switches on or off a track of a piece of music. The piece of music is a folksy polyphonic vocal passage and the depth is controlled by the participant. It is interesting to work out the mechanism and discover the layers of music available. The spot light and the music has a warmth that encompass and envelops. The technical side of the piece has potential but it feels underdeveloped at this stage as it is too abstract.
