This verbatim theatre piece by the company Look Left Look Right told the stories of love from interview of people around Shoreditch and re-enacted by four excellent actors playing the interviewees. They ranged from children of 6 years old to and a couple who has been married for 50 years. The actors had a difficult task in distinguishing all the different people to the audience and they managed to give them real characters as they slip from one interviewees to the next. The stories range from funny anecdotes to interesting subtleties in the dynamics of their interaction between couples. The editing of the interviewees was mixed as some interviewees were more interesting than others and some were simply forgotten and left undeveloped after an introduction. There was just about enough variety here and although this was not the most original piece of work, the production value and some of the stories were enough to make this an enjoyable 70 minutes.
