The 50th version of the 1920s themed Prohibition Party is brought to you by Bourne and Hollingsworth at the not so secret venue of Bloomsbury Ballroom. Serving a selection of cocktails and sparkling wine, all created with the glamour of the 20s in mind, it is a night of dancing and entertainment in Gatsby nostalgia.
The Prohibition Party is the chance to dress in the glamour of the1920s and enjoy the thrills of prohibition style partying. Everyone comes in their 20s finery and the effort put into it is impressive. This vast space of the Bloomsbury Ballroom and its art deco interior makes the perfect backdrop of this buzzing and lavish event. The night’s entertainment is full of rip-roaring band performances, roulettes tables and portrait painting. There is also entertainment including live bands, DJs on gramophones, a polaroid stand and even a bakery stand serving velvet cakes and bagels. For others inclined to hone their Charleston steps to perfection instead, there was a one hour dance class prior to the event.
For those who missed the opportunity to attend last night, the next event is on 26th September. So get a group of your friends and prepare for a night of glamour and cocktails.
